Proud to Be Part of the Colorado Springs Community

April 29, 2020

Sometimes it takes a crisis to bring a community together, but Colorado Springs has always had a strong spirit that can never quite be broken. As a family-owned, independent auto repair shop, we are so proud to be a part of this community. Our entire team at LightHouse Automotive is grateful for your support and loyalty during these uncertain times.

Support Local Businesses

Not only are we speaking for  LightHouse Automotive , but for all the small businesses that drive this beautiful part of Colorado. We have been very fortunate that auto repair was deemed an "essential service" and we've been able to operate with strict COVID-19 safety precautions in place to protect our customers and staff. However, other local businesses haven't been as lucky and have encountered struggles that we hate to see. We encourage everyone to do what they can to help support small businesses in need.

Here are some ideas:

• Order takeout or delivery from your favorite restaurants

• Purchase gift cards now that you can use later

• Check out their websites and utilize any online services they offer

• Write online reviews on sites like Google and Yelp

• Follow your favorite businesses on social media

• Visit the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center and see other ways to help

Moving Forward and Making a Positive Difference

Even as Colorado's stay-at-home order and social distancing requirements begin to ease, it is going to be awhile before things get back to normal as we knew it before COVID-19. Some things may never be the same after this. Beyond just supporting local businesses, you can make a difference by finding creative ways to help your friends, family and neighbor. It doesn't have to be monetary. There are many ways to brighten someone's day, and that goes a long way right now. Enjoy this extra time home with your family. If one good thing can come out of this, it's a stronger appreciation for spending quality time with those you care about most.

Thank You!

Lastly, and most importantly, we want to offer our biggest thanks and gratitude for our dedicated health care workers, first responders and volunteers who are giving everything they have to keep the people of Colorado Springs and it's surrounding communities as safe and healthy as possible. If you know someone on the front lines, make sure and let them know how much they are appreciated! Of course, we also want to give a shout out to all the essential workers helping keep our community running strong. We hope everyone is back to work soon enough.

From the LightHouse Automotive family to yours...

Hang in there and stay safe everyone!
